To be honest, there is nothing "magical" about any consultant's process. Getting into top universities ultimately comes down to three things: clarity of your career goals, understanding what schools are actually looking for, and presenting your story in a way that makes sense to admissions committees. That's exactly where we focus our energy. Instead of relying on gimmicky dashboards, automated systems, or AI-generated edits, we prioritize experienced mentors and deep personalization. Our team works closely with each student, and even our founder regularly monitors student groups to ensure no concern goes unanswered and the quality of guidance remains high. The biggest difference shows up in the essays and application narrative - we don't "polish" them with AI; we build them thoughtfully with you. If you ever read sample essays from our students, you'll immediately notice the depth, clarity, and authenticity that has helped many of them earn admits from schools like HEC, Columbia, Duke and others. What truly makes our process different is not a tool or a dashboard - it's our commitment to doing the work thoroughly and personally for every student.
We intentionally limit ourselves to around 100-120 students every year because meaningful personalization becomes impossible at scale. Many consulting firms work with hundreds or even thousands of applicants annually, and while they may have large teams, the reality is that students often end up receiving templated advice or delayed responses. By keeping our cohort small, we ensure that every student receives the time, attention, and responsiveness they deserve. It also allows our founder and senior mentors to remain actively involved in monitoring the experience and stepping in whenever needed. Admissions consulting is ultimately a service business - and when too many students are onboarded, genuine problems often never reach decision-makers. By staying intentionally small, we can respond faster, give more thoughtful feedback, and make sure that if a student has a concern, it is actually addressed instead of getting lost in a large system.
Think about the things you truly care about - whether it's a laptop, a phone, or even healthcare. When the outcome matters, people usually choose quality over the cheapest option available. Admissions consulting works in a similar way. Lower-priced consultants often rely on high volumes of students to sustain their business, which means their teams must manage hundreds or even thousands of applicants at the same time. When volume becomes the priority, personalization inevitably suffers. Our approach is the opposite - we focus on quality, which is why we work with fewer students, pay experienced mentors well, and spend significantly more time on each application. The difference often becomes clear when you see the essays, strategies, and outcomes our students achieve. If you explore Reddit discussions, LinkedIn profiles of past students, or reviews across platforms, you'll notice that our results speak for themselves. In the end, the question is not whether cheaper options exist - it's whether the guidance you receive is strong enough to meaningfully improve your chances at competitive universities.
The students who have the smoothest and most successful experience usually start working with us 7-8 months before their application deadlines. This gives us enough time to build a strong narrative, develop essays carefully, and go through multiple rounds of refinement without unnecessary pressure. For example, students who begin around January or February typically have their core application materials ready by July, leaving ample time for polishing and final improvements. We do work with students who reach out closer to deadlines as well, but the process naturally becomes more intense for both sides because we have to compensate for lost time. Since many students contact us late in the cycle, we are often unable to accept everyone due to our limited cohort size, and late applications may also involve an additional rush fee. Ideally, we recommend starting at least 4-5 months before deadlines, with 3 months being the absolute minimum to ensure we can do justice to your application.
Your GMAT or GRE score is just one component of your application - it shows academic ability, but it rarely tells the full story of who you are or why a school should admit you. In fact, many of our students have received admits from schools like HEC, ESSEC, LBS, Columbia and others with scores such as 595 or 615 because their profiles and career narratives were extremely clear. Admissions committees evaluate the entire application: your professional journey, goals, experiences, and the story connecting them. Most applicants underestimate how long it takes to build that narrative properly. If you wait until your test score is finalized before starting the rest of the process, you often lose valuable preparation time. We frequently work with students who are preparing for the GMAT while simultaneously building their application strategy, and we always have contingency plans if the score doesn't turn out as expected. While you can technically start after finishing the test, many students later regret waiting - especially when they realize that a strong score alone does not guarantee admission without a compelling overall profile.
